Braided Curly Hair Day 2-8-2011

I thought the girls would like some fun new hair-do's to go with their new fun clothes!! Braiding while wet and sleeping in it works good!

Jane has grown SOOOOO much this year - in more ways than one! She is truly becoming a young woman :( Where's Baby Jane??

Western Week 1-25-2011

Jane, Mary and Luke ready for school in their western garb.

Here is Leia in PAUL's baby shoes!! She has developed quite an attachment to them and insists on wearing them morning and NIGHT. She has a total melt down if you try to remove them and gets all giddy-excited when she finds them to put them on! They barely fit her and leave marks on her ankles. I finally bought her some new sneakers and this seems to be helping her fixation on Paul's shoes...
Just thought I'd snap a pic of crusty morning Leia eating breakfast.

Western Gina ready for Teacher Buffy's Preschool!

Little Leia is our copycat. She wanted a picture as well and went and imitated Gina's pose right away! The shoes and hat were her idea.

Twin Falls Run 1-29-2011 COSTCO!

Last Saturday I had a hankering for adventure I guess so I loaded my 6 into the Suburban and drove to Twin Falls myself! I really like Costco and their $3.00 huge bags of spinach. I bought 7 of them (now all frozen in batches in my freezer for smoothies).

The kids were soooo good on the trip. The Costco was SO CROWDED. Paul in the sling, Leia in the cart, Jane, Mary, Luke and Gina walking beside we made our way up and down the aisles. When we reached the back we were full up of course - heavily loaded with Capri Sun's, diapers, wipes, vinegar, olive oil, raisins, agave, etc...and needed another cart. It was literally bumper to bumper in there. walking back to the front door for another cart was out of the question.... I scanned about and an empty cart appeared .... we waited for a while for the owner to return.....Then I told Jane to start pushing...Gina wanted in.....and we continued on our way.

We were tired by the time we had lunch. I said we were not going to the mall but going home now and Mary exclaimed,"You mean we came all the way here for nothing?!"

The murmuring continued on the way home. We stopped for gas and potty break at the Love's gas station. The kids each picked out a stuffed animal in the truck stop. Spoiled little brats were happy after that!! :)

The picture above is the kids chowing on the pizza, ice cream and soda afterwards. Mary put away one of those 1/4 lb. long hot dogs!

Meeks the Kitty

Meeks the Kitty never passes up an opportunity to sit in a new spot. The most gentle and patient kitty ever.....

Luke Super-hamming 1-31-2011

I cut Luke's hair and gave him a temporary mohawk - didn't look too bad...
I asked him to showcase his hair and this is the expressions he felt.. :)

We removed the mohawk after Dad came home to see...

And we couldn't pass a photo op without a snap of the Beans....
